About Razer

Razer is a gaming hardware company with dual headquarters in Singapore and Irvine, California. It makes PC accessories such as mice, keyboards, headsets and mouse mats, along with laptops, gaming chairs and streaming equipment. Many of its product families have animal names, such as DeathAdder and Viper mice, BlackWidow and Huntsman keyboards, and Kraken and BlackShark headsets.

When we build a gaming PC, the keyboard, mouse and headset matter as much as the graphics card, because they are what you touch and hear all day. Razer accessories work with ordinary Windows PCs, and many use Razer's Synapse software to adjust buttons and lighting. We can help match a set to your PC and your budget.

When choosing, begin with comfort and the games you play. A mouse should suit the size of your hand and grip, a keyboard should feel good to type on, and a headset must be comfortable for long sessions. Decide between wired and wireless, and check what connection your PC has.

Razer is known for

  • Gaming mice such as the DeathAdder and Viper families
  • Keyboards including BlackWidow and Huntsman
  • Kraken and BlackShark gaming headsets
  • Large mouse mats and gaming surfaces
  • Microphones, webcams and other streaming gear

Choosing Razer parts

  • Pick a mouse for your hand size and grip. A shape that feels comfortable matters more than a long feature list, especially in long sessions.
  • Mechanical keyboards use separate switches under each key and feel different from a standard keyboard. Switch types differ in feel and noise, so choose one you are comfortable typing on.
  • Wired devices avoid batteries and charging, while wireless ones keep the desk tidy. Many gaming devices offer both, so decide what suits your desk and how you play.
  • For a headset, check comfort, the microphone and the connection. Some plug into a USB port, others into the headphone socket, and some also work with consoles.

Questions about Razer

Do Razer products only work with gaming PCs?

No. Razer mice, keyboards and headsets work with ordinary Windows PCs and laptops, and are used for general work too. Some features need Razer's free software, so check the product details.

Which Razer mouse should I choose?

It depends on your hand size, grip and the games you play. Razer makes several families with different shapes and sizes, so ring us and tell us how you use a mouse and we will point you in the right direction.

Is a wireless gaming headset or mouse a good idea?

Wireless gives a tidier desk and freedom to move, but needs charging or batteries. Wired never runs flat. Both are widely used, so choose whichever suits your desk and habits.

Can you build a PC and supply the Razer accessories too?

Yes. We build, test and support PCs, and can supply peripherals alongside a build so your setup arrives ready to use. Ring 01905 673738 and we will talk through what you need.

What if my Razer product develops a fault?

The manufacturer's warranty applies, and its length depends on the particular product, so check the product page or ask us. If something goes wrong, we can help you decide what to do next.

Not sure what fits, or want a PC built around Razer parts? Ring us on 01905 673738 for honest advice, or build your own PC and we check every part fits.
