Signs your computer needs a clean or new thermal paste
- Fans that are loud, or ramp up and down all the time
- A computer that is hot to the touch, or shuts itself off when it is working hard

None of these on its own proves it needs new paste, which is why we look first and tell you what we find.
Our cleaning and service options
We open the case, blow out the dust from the fans, heatsinks, filters and case, wipe the case down, check the fans spin properly and test it afterwards. No paste.
Everything in the dust clean, plus we clean off the old thermal paste, fit new thermal paste on the processor, and check the temperatures before and after.
Clean and re-paste, plus we tidy the cables so air can flow, check the health of your drives, run a memory and temperature test, check for Windows and driver updates, and give you a short written summary of what we found.
We open the laptop, clean the fans and cooling vents, replace the paste and test it. Laptops take more time to open safely, so some models cost more. Parts, such as a worn fan, are extra, and we quote before we fit them.
Book the full service once a year for £10 less than the usual price, and we will remind you by e-mail when it is due, if you would like a reminder. You can stop the reminders at any time.

We clean it, replace the paste if it is included in your service, and test it.

We tell you what we found and the temperatures before and after. We can usually do it there and then or within one working day.
What it costs
A dust clean is £25, a clean and CPU re-paste is £45 and a full service is £65. The prices are fixed and include the thermal paste and the cleaning pads. Laptops are from £65, and we quote before we start if we find anything else needs doing. If we cannot improve things, we will tell you honestly, and no fix, no fee still applies to repairs.

Frequently asked questions
Do you use good thermal paste?
Yes. We use a quality, non-conductive thermal paste, which is safe if a little gets where it should not.
Will it make my computer faster?
If it was slowing down because it was too hot, often yes, because processors slow themselves down to stay cool. If heat is not the problem, cleaning will not change its speed, and we will say so.
Can you guarantee how many degrees cooler it will be?
No. It depends on the computer, the cooler and how bad it was. We check the temperatures before and after, so you can see what changed.
How often should a PC be cleaned?
It depends on the room. A PC on the floor, or in a home with pets, needs it more often. Once a year is a good habit.
Is it safe to open my laptop or branded PC?
Some laptops and branded PCs have seals or warranty conditions. We check before we open anything and tell you if it could affect your warranty.
Do you also clean graphics cards?
We keep to the processor and the case for now. If your graphics card runs hot, ring us and we will tell you what is possible.
Can you come to me?
